I have not established contact with anyone as of yet. I have sent out several emails to people in Haiti and Lebanon. I am not going to give into the second option because I believe that someone will write me back. I will email a few others from the list and if I do not hear from anyone by Wednesday, I will have to resort to the other option. I am really looking forward to this assignment and corresponding with someone from another country to learn about their early childhood programs.

I have had similar difficulties with establishing communication with other countries. I am still holding out hope for contact. Viewpoints from educators in other countries will help with cultural awareness.
Look like we all in the same boat because I didn't hear from anyone as well. However I did look into the second alternative and read an article on leadership in Pakistan with young girls. What caught my attention there is young woman’s living in Pakistan with big hearts, soul and minds. One of the main girl’s name Gulali have started a movement that ready transforming on how young girls think of themselves and how they survive and earn the right they deserve. Do to research being raised in Pakistan was tough for girls. As a girl in Pakistan you really have to fight and struggling to have access to education, employment and the right healthcare. This news was very shocking to me.
Hi Cheryl,
Keep trying, sometimes people are just slow about responding to emails. My email count is over a 1000. Just a suggestion, put something catchy in the subject area otherwise they may think its just more junk mail.
